truly safe lithium ion techniques
The lithium ion battery always will be considered as ideal high content high power battery. Nowadays they always use LiCoO2 as positive pole of lithium ion and widely used in the portable electronic device. Consider the safety and costs, the LiCoO2 battery haven’t been used in the high power field market. Co is a strategic material, so, LiCoO2 battery will face the problem of resource shortage and toxicity. LiMn2O4 is positive pole material of lithium ion battery which has spinel structure and could suck and deserve the lithium. Compare with LiCoO2, the LiMn2O4 is not expensive and has greater thermal stability. Both LiMn2O4 and LiCoO2 will be made into thermal runaway at the time of abuse test.
To high safety, high content, low costs and no toxicity positive pole material is the key and hot pot in the industry in the world.
The olivine structure LiFePO4 could content all requirements of high safety, high content and high power.The find of LiFePO4 had been honored as “lithium ion battery times had become”
LiFePO4 has advantages of no toxicity, rich resource, stable electrical charge and discharge, high hot stable and widely used in the large battery field.
However the LiFePO4 also has problem and need to improve on the factors of lower conductance. It is the key core of the LiFePO4 in the world.
